Patta and Nike Revisit the Air Max 1 ‘Wave’ for Fifth Anniversary

It has been five years since Patta and Nike first released the Air Max 1 ‘Wave’, and they are marking the occasion with another version. The original arrived in 2021 and introduced a flowing mudguard that wrapped around the toe and heel, giving the classic silhouette something new while keeping everything else intact. That detail became the signature of the collaboration. Noise Aqua, Rush Maroon, and Black followed, and the design settled into the Air Max lineage.
This anniversary edition goes back to the original idea. The color is Hyper Crimson, an orange tone that connects to Patta’s home base. Grey mesh underlays sit beneath leather overlays, and a black Swoosh runs along the side. The wave mudguard is orange leather with an embroidered mini Swoosh. Visible Air unit. Classic rubber outsole. It stays true to the performance roots while carrying the collaboration forward.
Roots are central here. Each pair comes with a velvet pouch containing a bracelet featuring the Surinamese flag, acknowledging the cultural foundation of the brand. The release is complemented by a satin bomber jacket in black and orange and a T-shirt.
