High above Barcelona, where the city dissolves into the horizon, NOXE introduces OMOTENASHI, a cocktail menu that feels less like a list and more like a state of mind. Rooted in the Japanese philosophy of anticipatory hospitality, the experience unfolds quietly inside W Barcelona, where every detail seems to arrive just before you realise you need it.

At the center of it all is Jeremías Boquete, NOXE’s head mixologist, who personally guided us through the menu, translating its more abstract language into something tangible. Sitting with him, tasting a curated selection, the concept clicked into place. Each cocktail is built as a gesture. Thought through, but never overworked.

Matcha, yuzu, miso and sake move fluidly across the menu, colliding with more familiar references. The SHISOJIN reimagines the mojito with a greener, sharper edge, while KOUSHI leans deep into umami through whisky and miso. HOSHI feels lighter, sparkling and slightly decadent. Even the non-alcoholic options hold their own, layered and intentional.

What ties it together is the feeling of being guided without pressure. The Taste Map replaces rigid categories with moods and textures, making the experience intuitive rather than performative.

See you on the 26th floor of W Barcelona
