Lacoste looks back seventy years to the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d’Ampezzo. The new collection, Olympic Heritage Cortina d’Ampezzo 1956, is not about the race down the mountain. It is about the moment after.

This is a tribute to alpine style and the quiet sophistication of the ski resort. The collection speaks to the space between sport and elegance. It draws from the brand’s own sports history and French making, but its focus is on comfort and clean lines. The common thread is a specific winter blue, taken from the original 1956 Games logo, giving the pieces a soft, retro feel.

The garments are built for the rituals of the mountainside after the slopes close. Think fitted sweaters in merino wool, quilted jackets with a vintage shape, and comfortable trousers with subtle technical details. Polo shirts and sweatshirts feature a reworked version of the old Olympic logo. Accessories like gloves and scarves complete the look with a nod to 1950s charm.
