Oliver Peoples has introduced a new eyewear collection. It is a collaboration with the estate of Paul Newman. The line includes both eyeglasses and sunglasses, all drawing from the actor’s enduring image.

Paul Newman was known for a specific kind of ease. His style was always relaxed, whether he was on a film set or at a racetrack. His sunglasses became a fixed part of that image. This collection tries to capture that feeling. The resulting frames, named Paul Newman and Paul Newman Sun, are meant to reflect his personal sophistication.

These frames join Oliver Peoples’ other legacy models. The design follows the clean lines and everyday appeal associated with Newman’s own look. The signature detail is a teardrop lens shape, a silhouette he often wore. The frames are made from acetate in a deep color called Newman Blue, a reference to his famous eyes.

Special collaboration details are found throughout. The metal temple tip is engraved with his initials, “PLN”. The wire core inside the temple has a pattern taken from his racing helmet. The eyeglass version in black features a light blue washed lens named Cool Blue. Each element connects to a different part of his life.

The frames come in dark navy packaging. They launch on what would have been Paul Newman’s 101st birthday. The collection will be available globally from Oliver Peoples and select partners. A portion of the proceeds will support the Newman’s Own Foundation, which aids children in need.
