For Fall/Winter 2026, Officine Générale returns to essentials. Following the more conceptual “Pariviera” show in June, designer Pierre Mahéo felt a need to refocus. In response to complex times, he chose to set the collection within a school: a place of knowledge, education, and respect.

The specific school is the historic École Duperré in Paris, founded in 1854 by Elisa Lemonnier to provide vocational training for women. For over a century, it taught dressmaking and applied arts before becoming co-educational and expanding its curriculum. Mahéo sees it as a place that imparts the foundations (the method, rules, and precious grammar) that inform a creative career.

This school setting is not a preppy theme. Instead, it inspired a narrowing of focus. Mahéo simplified the color range to his preferred, non-primary tones. He simplified volumes and lines, avoiding added trims or seasonal details. The emphasis is on beautiful, reliable fabrics meant to be worn day after day.

The collection features light flannels worked into total looks, along with wool satins, cotton poplins, and touches of cashmere. Patterns include Prince of Wales checks, herringbone, stripes, and a scattering of polka dots.
