Oakley is returning to its 2004 archives to reissue the FatCat as part of the MUZM collection, a series that revives era-defining designs. The sunglasses resurface over twenty years after their original release, connecting generations through a silhouette that captured the early 2000s.
The MUZM FatCat stays true to the original. The organic sculpting and deep-set lenses that made it a cultural marker remain intact, now updated with Oakley Prizm Lens Technology. The bold proportions of the Heavy Stretch Logo are unchanged, while lightweight O-Matter material keeps the frame durable and flexible for everyday wear.
The reissue is led by professional footballer and Team Oakley athlete Alexia Putellas, part of the recently launched Oakley Players Collection that surrounds sports culture. “FatCat has that rare balance of heritage and futurism,” Putellas said. “It’s rooted in a defining moment of sports culture, but still feels like something designed for what’s next.”
Check it out below:
Oakley MUZM FatCat will be available in two colourways: Matte Black with Prizm Grey lenses and Cream with Prizm 24K Polarized lenses. The release begins on 26 May at Oakley.com and select Oakley stores and partners worldwide.
