No Problemo and Converse have teamed up on their first global footwear collaboration, taking on the iconic Chuck 70 through the lens of No Problemo’s graphic identity. Launching on 21 July, the capsule includes two executions: a Chuck 70 Hi in Black and a Chuck 70 Ox in White with fluorescent green details.

The collection draws from 1970s science fiction, UFO folklore, and coming-of-age cinema, referencing the films that helped cement the Chuck 70 as a cultural icon. Hidden nods to Stand by Me, The Outsiders, and Back to the Future sit alongside a broader fascination with extraterrestrial mythology and the visual language of conspiracy culture. That world extends into the campaign, which imagines an alien encounter at Hackney Henge, London’s own version of the ancient monument. A couple are abducted wearing tinfoil hats and gowns, a nod to one of conspiracy culture’s most recognisable symbols. The same foil print appears hidden on the insoles and the box.

The Chuck 70 Hi replaces the traditional ankle All Star patch with No Problemo’s Aleneno emblem. Across both styles, custom laces carry the phrase “I want to believe,” pulled from Alien and The X-Files. Custom silver eyelets echo the almond-shaped eyes of No Problemo’s alien logo, while moulded typography on the outsole reinforces the graphic identity. Balancing familiarity with subversion, the capsule celebrates the legacy of the Chuck 70 while pulling it into No Problemo’s world.
