Taking its name from a Russian dog sent into space in 1961, the Nike Zvezdochka Shoe features a unique modular two-layer design. Originally created in 2004 by award-winning industrial designer Marc Newson, the shoe was inspired by what he saw astronauts wearing at the Russian Space Institute. The flexible molded outer cage features responsive cushioning, and the removable mesh bootie is breathable for optimum comfort.

To honor the 10-year anniversary of the ZVEZDOCHKA, Nike re-released the shoe in its original five colorways at select NikeLab retailers and on nike.com/nikelab. The revival pay tribute to a collaboration that was anything but ordinary.
