Nike Presents STUDIO FLEECE: The New Everyday Uniform
by Adriano Batista

Nike has introduced Studio Fleece, a unified system of activewear built around the idea of the everyday athlete’s uniform. The collection includes crewneck and quarter-zip sweatshirts, full-zip and zip-free hoodies, shorts, and sweatpants, all designed from Nike’s perspective of innovation and product obsession to offer performance and comfort through clean proportions and versatility.

The opinions of more than 300 women from around the world informed every aspect of the “Total Black” colourway, making each style softer and more durable against the skin. The “Total Black” pieces are crafted with a dye formula designed to resist fading and maintain a deep black for at least 30 washes. “We’ve thought of every detail to create the ultimate everyday uniform,” said Jill Gonzalez, Senior Director of Product Line Management.

The Studio Fleece universe is based on two cuts: a standard fit and a looser, oversized cut. Standard-fit silhouettes come in three weights. Lightweight pieces are breathable and suited for layering. Mediumweight styles are super-soft and versatile for everyday wear. Heavyweight garments offer more shape and structure. Key details include cleaner silhouette lines, narrower cuffs, a redesigned hood, and signature Lyon Blue labels, all combining to set Studio Fleece apart from traditional fleece. “Nike’s best products are born from an obsession with detail,” said Claire Durfee, Lead Apparel Designer. “We set ourselves a challenge with every element, perfecting the proportions, materials, and finishes.”

“The best of sportswear is embodied in Studio Fleece: essential, high-quality silhouettes with endless possibilities for personal expression,” said Mellány Sánchez, Global Styling Director. “The beauty of the collection’s design lies in its ability to adapt to women’s movements throughout the day.”

Studio Fleece is joined by Solo Fleece, a midweight men’s hoodie with a brushed-back body fabric, a shorter and straighter cut, a pleated hood with matching fabric lining, and a 3D embroidered Swoosh. Both collections are presented in a joint campaign featuring Nike athletes Alysa Liu, Jazzy Davidson, Sha’Carri Richardson, Moses Itauma, Lauren James, and Reece James, alongside artists Karina and Yeat.

Studio Fleece is available now at nike.com and select retailers in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, with a worldwide release starting 1 September and new styles launching in the coming months.
