New Balance has launched the latest version of its football boot, the 442 v3. The design aims to integrate the brand’s sporting history with its lifestyle style.

The boot is built for players who want a classic look and modern performance. It uses a premium microfiber material called TrueTouch Tech for better ball feel. The design has a low profile for support, and the quilted pattern on the upper references both football and lifestyle models. A molded heel improves stability, and the sole is redesigned for response and durability.

Luc Fusaro, New Balance’s global design director for football, says the boot honors the original 442 while giving it a stronger identity. He describes it as a mix of heritage and innovation, updated for the demands of today’s game.

The 442 v3 first released in Japan on December 12, 2025, in a limited sea salt, pearl, and gold colorway. It became available more widely from December 13th. Additional colors, including black, white, and gold combinations, will launch in early 2026. The boot will be sold in selected stores and online.
