Nadav Perlman presented his Spring/Summer 2027 collection, Roots, as part of the Antwerp Fashion Festival. Rather than a traditional runway show, the presentation took the form of a performative experience, inviting the audience into the emotional world behind the clothes. Memory, belonging, displacement, and the pull of one’s place of origin run through the collection.

Perlman’s starting point is personal. He describes leaving his childhood home to live abroad and watching that place become something else in his mind. “When I left my childhood home to live abroad, the idea of that place became mystical,” he says. “It became a sacred place. There, in the soil, my roots are intertwined with the roots of the trees.” That sense of distance, and the way it deepens the connection rather than weakening it, shapes the collection’s mood.

He speaks of having grown away from that pure place, tangled now in ideas, ambitions, and other attachments. But the pull remains, and it grows stronger with time. “Wherever I go, whatever I do, it begins from that place,” he says. “And perhaps one day, after all my long wandering, I will return.” The collection is a reflection on that specific landscape, between mountains and low trees, a place he calls his heaven on earth. Roots translates that feeling into form, not as nostalgia, but as something still alive and unresolved.
