Lisbon Fashion Week returns March 12 through 15 with its 66th edition. This time the theme is “Pebbling,” and it focuses on how small gestures build relationships and shape systems.

The concept comes from digital culture but shows up in animal behavior and human connections too. Pebbling means offering something small to create closeness. A simple signal that activates recognition and care. In a world where digital tools bring minds together but often leave bodies isolated, that minimal gesture matters more. Technology is not neutral anymore. It participates in how we relate to each other.

Fashion fits into this. The event organizers see dressing as a relational practice. Clothes operate within systems, cultures, and technologies. Each object and surface participates in a broader network where humans, machines, environments, and materials all act together. ModaLisboa positions fashion as an interface between bodies, production, the city, and time. A space where experiencing others becomes central.

The event itself centers at Pátio da Galé but stretches through other cultural venues. MUDE, the Museum of Design, and CAM, the Gulbenkian Modern Art Centre, will host programming. The idea is to inhabit the city in different ways.
