Memories: Yuxus’ Love Letter To The Summers We Never Forgot
by Zoel Hernández
Some memories don’t need a photograph to exist. They live in the texture of an old sweatshirt, in the colour of a faded postcard, in the feeling of returning somewhere that has been waiting for you all along.
For its latest chapter, Yuxus introduces ‘Memories’, a collection built around those fragments of time that quietly shape who we become. A tribute to endless summers, family rituals and the objects that collect stories long before we realise they will become part of our own.
The collection unfolds like a forgotten summer diary. Two brothers arrive back at their grandfather’s seaside house and find traces of another era, such as old photo albums, a fishing boat and clothes left behind in wardrobes. This way, between slow mornings, board games, afternoons by the water and the small dramas of growing up, Yuxus turns everyday moments into pure nostalgia.
‘Memories’ actually plays with that sensation through washed finishes, nautical references and new fabric developments that give each piece a sense of history. Piqué textures, waffle fabrics, striped details and sun-worn tones create a wardrobe that feels borrowed from another summer. A summer that you might have never lived, but somehow remember. It feels familiar.
With this collection, Yuxus’ vision of elevated essentials moves beyond the idea of basics as something simple. Hoodies, polos, knitwear, T-shirts and accessories are treated with a sharper eye for detail, taking the garments to a new level through their texture and proportion.
The colour story feels like the last days of August, with washed-out blues, soft pinks, deep reds and neutral shades that seem shaped by the sun rather than by trends. The silhouettes become cleaner and more refined, keeping that effortless attitude embedded in the brand’s ethos.
The campaign plays into this narrative. Captured inside a holiday house by the sea, it embraces a slower rhythm of real moments where family, landscapes and small objects with a past shape the quiet beauty of ordinary days.
With ‘Memories’, Yuxus reminds us that clothes are not only about the moment we wear them, but about everything they carry with them.
