LUAR and The Standard Bring Sunshine Yellow to Ibiza
by Adriano Batista
Raul Lopez brought LUAR to Ibiza to celebrate the brand’s first swim collection, made in partnership with The Standard. The result is a limited-edition swim brief in the hotel’s signature sunshine yellow, finished with LUAR’s monogram hardware, and designed for people who drift between the beach, the bar, and wherever the night ends.
The two brands marked the launch with a dinner at UP rooftop restaurant and bar on 27 September, where the campaign, shot by Alva Galim, was unveiled.
The collaboration is part of ShoptheStandard, the hotel’s ongoing series of partnerships across fashion, art, and culture. “At The Standard, we’ve always believed hospitality is about cultivating the conditions for culture to happen,” said Karla Evans, Head of Brand Marketing & Culture at The Lifestyle Group, Hyatt. “LUAR brings high fashion in much the same way, through community, individuality, and a clear point of view. This collaboration felt inevitable.”
Lopez echoed that. “This collaboration felt really natural because there’s a shared spirit of community, individuality, and just having a good time. For me, The Standard has always been more than a hotel. It’s a place where people come together, where you see different worlds collide and culture happens naturally. That’s very much how I think about LUAR too. We’re both creating spaces for people to be themselves, to connect, and to experience something unexpected,” he said.
