Lil Nas X has released “World’s Greatest.” The track is triumphant and personal, written entirely by Montero and produced by C.WRAY and Steve Rusch. It reflects on the journey from humble beginnings to becoming one of the world’s most renowned artists, balancing vulnerability with celebration before culminating in a declaration: “I am a champion.”
Montero announced the song by sharing a personal message from his late mother, Tamikia Hill, to whom he dedicates the track and its music video.
Filmed in his hometown of Atlanta and directed by Phillip Youmans, the music video brings the journey to life through an encounter between Montero’s past and present. Childhood memories intertwine with scenes from his current life, creating a dialogue between the boy who dreamed of something more and the artist he has become.
