La Siesta Primavera: Principe di Bologna SS26 Campaign
by Adriano Batista
For its new season, the Italian label Principe di Bologna staged its latest campaign at Barcelona’s Piscina Municipal de Montjuïc. Perched above the city with that unreal Olympic-era view, the pool has quietly become a pop culture landmark. Kylie Minogue filmed “Slow” there in the early 2000s, and Dua Lipa returned to the same setting years later for “Illusion.” The energy was already baked into the location.

This time around, the focus is not on full looks but on the details that finish them. Accessories and footwear take center stage, with the design team pushing a relaxed take on quiet luxury. The key motif is matte woven leather, a subtle nod to traditional Tuscan techniques that adds texture without shouting for attention.
The men’s selection feels built for real life rather than just a runway moment. Think mornings grabbing pastries, afternoons running between meetings, evenings drifting somewhere near the coast. Tricolor brogues shake up the usual monochrome formula, while loafers come in ultra-thin naplac leather, a modern material that is lighter and more flexible than classic patent. They are built using a seamless tubular construction, which gives them the kind of comfort that feels almost tailored.
Elsewhere, sabot sandals with a hand-applied patina channel an easygoing Riviera attitude, slightly worn-in and deliberately charming. Blue suede high-tops bring a sportier note with an exaggerated lightweight sole and hand-braided side panels. They are paired with a matching suede beauty case that works just as well as a clutch.
The overall message lands somewhere between laid-back and sharply considered. Luxury here is not stiff or overly precious. It is a well-cut shoe, a textured leather bag, a slow afternoon by the water.
Sometimes the best look is the one that feels effortless. Check “La Siesta Primavera” campaign by Principe di Bologna below:
