Komakino FW15 collection refers to the affirmation of individuality and appropriation of sartorial codes as a reference to the transition to adulthood.

Taking its inspiration from 50s yearbooks, its scratched pictures and peer’s comments – the teenagers brooding nature is communicated through their clothing.

The label’s signature pieces are presented in the collection with tailored details. The military inspired garments are restructured with exaggerated volumes: heavy wools, brushed cottons and furs are used to construct cropped MA-1s and long coats.

The core of the collection are the tailored pieces. Oversized blazers and pants with boxy silk shirts provides a long and lean silhouette whereas baggy pleated pants combined with cropped jackets balance the volumes.

Scratched yearbook pictures, crossed-over embroideries and the word DUNCE runs throughout the collection as a leitmotiv reminding the rebellious youthful energy of self affirmation. The label’s vocabulary, a fusion of counterculture references, youth symbols and tailoring, opens up to a more refined code.
