Kml Spring/Summer 2027
by Felipe Castro
Taking a moment to breathe, slowing down time to be present; this is what Kml did in its Spring/Summer 2027 presentation. With a sand-toned floor and a canopy of draped textiles, the presentation served as an invitation to the culture, with barefoot models mirroring the act of taking shoes off upon entry, and a short film showcasing dances from Saudi regions.
Returning to the official Paris Fashion Week calendar as the first Saudi ready-to-wear brand to be part of it, Kml’s presentation opened with the film, directed by Anas Sufyan, performed by Bilal Allaf, with music by Firas Shurbaji, and co-produced with Mohammed Sehaim. Afterwards, the collection presented garments made for the summer breeze, exploring the interplay between inherited shapes and contemporary styles, resulting in pieces that convey a relationship between endurance and transformation.
Stealing the show, garments had fringe tassels hanging from the sleeves, as back cinches, belts, and at the bottom of pants; the color palette was neutral, with whites, greys, and black. The closing look carried a tassel-filled skirt, allowing movement and fluidity to be seen from all angles. Kml’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection continued the fashion house’s conceptual menswear, rooted in historical research, blended with current construction.
