JW Anderson has announced his first collaboration with Diadora, the historic Italian sportswear brand. The project centres on the Equipe trainer, a silhouette Diadora created in 1975 for elite athletes. Nearly fifty years later, Jonathan Anderson has reinterpreted the archival model in four bold colour combinations.

The Equipe was built for high-performance running and later crossed from track to street. Its design is rooted in decades of product development and Italian manufacturing out of the Montebelluna footwear district. The silhouette is tapered, with a swallowtail toe and wraparound heel. Refined but functional, modern and timeless. The unisex sneaker comes in four colourways personally selected by Anderson: Green Night, Navy Peony, Empire Red, and Princess Blue. Each pair is finished with branded hardware and laces.

The campaign stars actor Conor Sánchez, photographed by Sammy Khoury. Check it out below:

The limited-edition collection is available at jwanderson.com, diadora.com, JW Anderson stores in Soho, Pimlico Road, Milan, and Shibuya Parco Tokyo, and at Nordstrom.
