Jeanne Friot unveiled its ninth collection, HYSTERIA, during Paris Fashion Week.

The central image is escape. Models break out of the asylum in clothes designed for flight and fighting. The chromatic progression traces the arc: clinical white gives way to spotted ensembles, then to deep black. White comes first, the white of walls and smocks, a white that breeds obsession. Throughout the making of the collection, hands were washed compulsively, stains were seen everywhere, and paranoia set in. The collection itself became performative. Silhouettes hold the tension between restraint and escape. Belts, the house signature, return transformed, worn as constraints or as armour.
