Inside SEXTOU x BESO: CORE MADRID EDITION

SEXTOU landed in Madrid for a collaboration with BESO, taking over the dancefloor at CORE. The night brought together London’s underground energy with Madrid’s queer nightlife, creating a meeting point for two cities connected through sound and movement.
SEXTOU was founded just over a year and a half ago in London by Umberto Borraccia & Timothy Twang. It is a queer party and cultural platform rooted in techno, radical self-expression and community. The name comes from Brazilian slang meaning Happy Friday. The party runs every six weeks on Fridays and has become a new voice in London’s underground. BESO operates out of Barcelona, built around community and avant-garde music. The collective focuses on visionary sounds from local and international scenes, moving across techno, avant-garde, Latin club and hard house. ENGALANAN and WICBOYX founded it, also known for their work with TORO. BESO aims to create new narratives within Barcelona’s club culture and connect the city with voices from the queer underground.
For this special collaboration, the lineup pulled from both collectives. ENGALANAN, RUBÉN SECADURAS, TEDESCO, TWANG and WICBOYX played. They are the resident DJs who shape the sound and spirit of their respective parties night after night.
Nights like this matter now more than ever. Across Europe and beyond, queer spaces face increasing pressure. They close. They struggle to survive. The ones that remain become more than just places to dance. They become refuges. They hold space for self-expression when the world outside tries to shrink it. This party is a reminder that these spaces still exist, still thrive, still bring people together.
