HYACYN Spring/Summer 2027

HYACYN presented for the first time in Paris with their Spring/Summer 2027 collection, REF 11211. The New York-based label opened with an immersive installation upon entrance to the show, with crashed barricades, cars, and motorcycles inside Chapelle Sainte-Jeanne-d’Arc. REF 11211 pulled focus to HYACYN’s core designs by navigating the brand’s foundations, bringing a piece of their New York energy and culture to a new audience. The idea of personal rebellion is essential to the label; holding on to oneself when external forces try to diminish it strongly influences their designs. The runway reflected this, as each model had their own personal vibe and brought each look to life from their individuality.
As for the silhouettes, there is an evolution from HYACYN’s past proportions, with an introduction to slimmer silhouettes and with tailoring creating contrast between strict shapes and looser figures. The rebellious colour palette consisted of black, white, bright red, and a few pastel accents. Shoes played a crucial role, with intentional contrast either against the rest of the look or as black-versus-white or black-versus-red. Styling details challenged utility with unbuckled belts, arms trapped in tops, and eve-covering hoods. The HYACYN identity prevailed in this collection while going deeper into garment construction, proportion, and tailoring, alluding to the French capital’s fashion scene, balancing conscious and intuitive clothing.
