With the house in transition ahead of Grace Wales Bonner’s highly anticipated menswear debut in January 2027, Hermès stepped away from the runway this season, opting instead for an intimate studio presentation created by its in-house design team. The decision offered a moment of quiet continuity, allowing the collection to speak through craftsmanship. It was a measured pause in the Paris Fashion Week that struggled under some of the highest recorded temperatures in France.

The studio collection remained unmistakably Hermès, built around the maison’s codes of leather and understated elegance. Relaxed tailoring, lightweight leather outerwear, softly structured knitwear, including handknitted cotton, and impeccably cut separates reflected a wardrobe designed for longevity rather than trend, with a restrained palette of earthy tones and cold blues allowing the exceptional materials and meticulous construction to take center stage.

An unexpected sense of play was introduced with Sellier-inspired details joined by Western cowboy motifs, playful printed scarves and decorative pins that injected a light-hearted spirit. The collection reinforced the timeless qualities that have long defined their menswear that started in the 60s. The studio team served as a respectful bridge between its storied past and the anticipation surrounding its future creative direction.
