HELIOT EMIL and Alpinestars RSRV Team Up on Footwear

HELIOT EMIL and Alpinestars RSRV have come together for a new footwear collaboration exploring the relationship between protection and everyday wear. Built around a shared interest in high-performance design, the project looks at what happens when technical equipment leaves its original environment. Protective systems developed for motorsport are reinterpreted through HELIOT EMIL’s design language, where utility-driven components take on a new context.
The collaboration continues an ongoing dialogue between the two brands, rooted in material experimentation and engineered construction. The collection introduces two footwear silhouettes that translate protective technologies into a different setting. Structural components and performance-driven detailing are preserved but reinterpreted, creating pieces that stay true to their origins while taking on another purpose. Rather than hiding these elements, the collaboration makes them visible design components, allowing the footwear to communicate both function and history. What was once purely protective becomes part of the aesthetic.
At its core, the project considers how objects evolve when removed from their intended context, proposing a new perspective on protection that extends beyond its original purpose. The collaboration launches officially on 23 August.
