On March 2, 2026, a new kind of wellness space opened its doors in the 1st arrondissement. SANT ROCH sits at 8 rue Saint-Roch, facing the Tuileries Garden, and introduces contrast therapy to a French audience for the first time.

Behind the project are Jules and Chloé Bouscatel, the Paris-based couple who founded Monday Sports Club, the fitness group behind Dynamo, Punch and RIISE studios. With SANT ROCH, they move into different territory. Contrast therapy works on a simple principle: the alternation of heat and cold. It draws from ancient rituals and the Roman baths of Lutetia. But the space itself is not a traditional spa or a conventional wellness center. It is built around experience, with heat and cold positioned as tools for regeneration and physical release. The ritual follows a rhythm. Hot. Cold. Trance.

Spanning 400 square meters across two levels, the space houses the largest sauna in France, over 60 square meters conceived as a sensory environment. Lighting shifts. Playlists change. Aromatherapy moves through the air as the heat rises gradually. On the other side, five cold plunge pools wait, maintained between 3 and 8 degrees Celsius. They offer a reset that hits both body and mind.

Sessions can be self-guided, experienced at a personal pace. Or they can be guided, led by practitioners trained in the SANT ROCH method. These collective rituals combine breathwork, sound immersion, meditation and movement meant to encourage deep relaxation.

The artistic direction comes from Olivier Léone. Architecture is handled by Toronto-based Futurstudio, founded by Ali McQuaid Mitchell, who has worked on experiential wellness spaces including Othership. Together, they have shaped a space defined by restraint and materiality, where light plays a central role.

SANT ROCH opens daily from 8 AM to 10 PM. Sessions and memberships are available.
