Haderlump Atelier Berlin presented its Fall/Winter 2026 collection, Varius, at the historic Wintergarten Varieté theatre. The location was a deliberate choice, as the space connects to the collection’s inspiration: the legendary performer Marlene Dietrich, who once performed on its stage. The Latin word varius, meaning diverse or different, references both the venue and Dietrich’s own multifaceted identity.

Dietrich is remembered not just for her films, but for living as an uncompromisingly free woman. She played with expectations, defying the conventions of her time by moving between a glittering stage persona and a private life that embraced masculine tailoring. For Haderlump, this legacy is a reminder of the need for spaces where diverse self-expression can flourish. The show reflected this versatility.

This season marked new explorations for the brand. Haderlump worked with lace for the first time, combining it with leather, denim, and heavy wool. The colour palette stayed within muted tones of grey, cream, brown, and black, punctuated by accents of red and blue. There was a stronger focus on classic tailoring in coats and blazers, signalling a shift toward a more refined elegance.

The show featured continued partnerships with Berlin label Liebeskind and Converse, which presented a new Chuck Taylor interpretation. New collaborations included jewellery from Wempe and sunglasses from Le Specs. A custom soundscape by John Carlsson and casting by Joy Livia completed the immersive experience.
