Gentle Monster has revealed its first intelligent eyewear, designed in partnership with Google and Samsung, at Google I/O 2026. The design marks the brand’s entry into wearable tech, bringing its signature aesthetic to a category that has often struggled to balance function with style.

The first release will include audio glasses with voice-assisted support, arriving later this fall. Built with Samsung’s hardware engineering, the glasses feature built-in speakers, a camera, and microphones. Users can listen to music, make calls, and take photos. Through Google Gemini, the glasses can provide information about surroundings, give turn-by-turn navigation, offer live translations, and complete more complex tasks like editing a photo or ordering a delivery by voice.

The partnership addresses a basic tension in wearable tech: the glasses need to be something people actually want to wear. Gentle Monster’s role is to bring a design language that makes the technology feel natural on the face. The first frame was shown at I/O, with the full collection arriving later this year. The result merges functionality with the brand’s bold approach to eyewear, keeping the user present and engaged with the world around them.
