G-STAR presented its FW26 collection at its own headquarters in Amsterdam. The show, called Spotlight Returns, was held at RAWFACTORY, where the brand designs and houses its archive. This return to the source signals a moment of refocus for the denim label.

The presentation unfolded in two clear chapters.

The first chapter was RAW RESEARCH, designed by Lisi and Rushemy Botter. It opened with a performance by artist Frenna. This section was about experimentation. Denim was cut in unconventional ways, with displaced seams and exaggerated volumes. Fabrics were left raw or treated with technical finishes, putting the focus on innovation and process.

The second chapter moved into clarity. Titled ARCHETYPES, this part celebrated the brand’s archive and core identity. It featured heavier denim, clean washes, and functional details like reinforced seams. The pieces aimed for durability and timeless design, rooted in craftsmanship.

A highlight was the return of a key piece. The brand reintroduced its iconic Arc jean, first launched in 2007. Known for its twisted leg seams that create a corkscrew shape, it was shown in updated loose and slim fits. Its return underscores G-STAR’s ongoing commitment to rethinking denim construction.
