Feng Chen Wang dreamed of a garden filled with union in her Spring/Summer 2027 collection, Dreaming of Spring. In the midst of a heatwave during Paris Fashion Week, Feng took us to a serene place where cultures blend in fluidity. “A bold and beautiful thing, merging two different cultures together, and you can see the connection is also in a romantic way”, said Feng talking about the two main inspirations: Botticelli’s Primavera painting, a garden where ethereal beings wander through everlasting blossom, and The Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove, a group of scholars who came together in lively debates and drew freedom from philosophy under bamboo canopies.

Transparent materials, handmade floral motifs, delicate neckpieces, and painted denim are some of the collection’s highlights. As well as an Under Armour collaboration merging high-performance pieces with Feng’s designs, filled with freedom. Dreaming of Spring had Renaissance draping and collars, Ancient Chinese scholars’ robes, draping folds, volumes representing liberty, raw edges, asymmetrical necklines, and new constructions that created flow between outerwear and shirts. The collection feels like a day in an idyllic garden, with the morning mist in sheer fabrics, the breeze in the garments’ fluidity, and the relaxed feel each look had – it brought us out of the heatwave chaos into a relaxing state of mind, as if we were meditating surrounded by bloom.
