Stone Island released new images featuring Latin Grammy Award-winning artist and songwriter Feid wearing a standout piece from the SS26 collection as part of the brand’s “Community as a Form of Research” project. The jacket, style 4100061 Metal Lamina Ripstop Heat Reactive, is a hooded jacket made from nylon micro ripstop with a heat-reactive resin coating on the outside and aluminum foil laminated on the inside.

The heat-reactive pigment molecules in the resin change the passage of light and shift in tone in response to heat. The jacket becomes lighter as the temperature rises and returns to darker tones as it drops. The aluminum lamination gives structure to the nylon, enhances thermal insulation, and creates a slightly three-dimensional, textured appearance on the surface.

The jacket features a shaped hood with visor and elasticated drawcords. The front yoke has flaps. Vertical zip flaps open onto vertical mesh-lined chest pockets fastened with snaps, sitting over bellows hand pockets. Armholes are open. Ventilation flaps on the back have mesh lining. The sleeve construction is paneled. The Stone Island badge sits on the left sleeve. Cuffs are adjustable with flaps and hook-and-loop fastening. The two-way zip fastening sits under a snap placket with two smaller snaps at the collar.
