FANG NYC returned to New York Fashion Week for its second show. Designer Fang Guo presented the Fall/Winter 2026 collection, continuing the brand’s gender expansive, unisex approach. This season looks to the 1990s, specifically the rave culture and communal freedom of post Cold War Berlin.

A key reference is *Anfang/Beginning: Berlin 1994 99*, a photo series by Christian Stemmler. The images document his circle of friends during that era, capturing after parties, street moments, and intimate portraits. Guo cites the authenticity and hopefulness of these images as a response to a current social climate that often feels disjointed.

The clothing in Stemmler’s photographs was often subversive and utilitarian. These qualities appear throughout the collection. Classic striped and checkered motifs from the series are reinterpreted through a minimal, contemporary lens. The line balances structured pieces with draped, fluid silhouettes. Leather, grommets, workwear detailing, and industrial textures ground the collection in the brand’s established language.
