Études Studio presented their Fall/Winter 2026/27 collection Résonances at Paris Fashion Week at the Institute for Research and Coordination in Acoustics/Music (IRCAM), taking inspiration from figures and artists in soundmaking, including the experimental philosophies of John Cage, to the early days of 1990s electronic music.

Named after musical “études,” since being founded in Paris in 2012 by Aurélien Arbet and Jérémie Egry, Études Studio has always treated clothing as a field for research while operating at the intersection of fashion, art and publishing, where their books have become collectors’ items.

While texture and construction took center stage at Collection No.28 Résonances, acting almost like acoustic surfaces, we saw an evolution of Western references and muted camouflaged diffused violet tones that evoked altered states and immersive sound environments. This season also saw Études Studio collaborate with Berlin-based Canadian artist Jeremy Shaw, whose practice explores altered states of consciousness and the psychological effects of sound. Imagery drawn from his films was translated onto garments, extending the collection’s sensory narrative.
