ESDI Escuela Superior de Diseño, affiliated with Ramon Llull University, presented the final collections of its graduating fashion designers with a show titled LIMIT(LESS) on 30 June. The setting was unexpected: the underground parking garage of La Roca Village, transformed into a performance space across the -2 level.

The edition began with a reflection on the relationship between the individual and the collective, focusing on a hyper-connected generation that develops its creativity from personal perspectives while staying in dialogue with the community around them. That tension was translated into the set design, a fragmented layout of distinct zones defined by chairs and black carpeting, almost like open rooms within a single route. Each collection inhabited its own space, yet formed part of a shared story.

The Jury

The event was presented by photographer and content creator Àlex Grimà. A professional jury awarded the prize for best collection from among six finalists. The jury included Cristina Viollaz of La Roca Village, Martín Torres of Editorial Superflua, ESDI alumnus and AAA Studio founder Arnau Climent, and content creator Paula Viana, also an ESDI alumna.

Andrea Criado

The award for best collection went to Andrea Criado for Una Lástima (A Shame). The project explores the moment a traumatic event disrupts a person’s life, focusing not on recovery but on the consequences of trauma that remains unrecognised and unprocessed, becoming a silent presence that grows over time. The collection features twisted garments, altered silhouettes, and unexpected volumes, with a visual atmosphere marked by progressive deterioration. Mold appears as the central metaphor for trauma: a presence that emerges discreetly, spreads slowly, and ends up invading everything it inhabits.
