Inês Amorim and Reid Baker presented Ernest W. Baker‘s Spring/Summer 2027 collection at Paris Fashion Week, built around an image of gradual unfolding. Like a rose blossom, whether in nature or formed by hand, the collection emerges petal by petal, stitch by stitch. It is rooted in craft and shaped by traditions passed down through generations, a reflection of patience and heritage.
This season began with an intentional act of reduction. Looks were stripped back to their foundations, not by adding but by refining, distilling each garment to its most essential form to make space for new energy. Distinctive patterns and expressive prints are introduced against the discipline of traditional tailoring, creating a tension between structure and spontaneity. Stripes and checks sit alongside bold graphic prints, shifting familiar codes in mood.
The collection continues the brand’s commitment to preserving time-honoured techniques. Crochet knitwear runs throughout, alongside driving gloves and traditional Portuguese braided leather fishing shoes. Building on the surface exploration of the previous Fall/Winter collection, two total looks have been developed using intricate Swarovski embellishment.
