DSM Kei Ninomiya SS27 Backstage!

We go backstage to take a closer look at DSM Kei Ninomiya’s SS27 collection, Our Punk, during Pitti Uomo 110 in Florence, transforming the historic Sant’Orsola complex into a celebration of punk culture and creative collaboration. Across tailoring, ready-to-wear, footwear and accessories, the collection drew inspiration from the movement’s rebellious spirit while incorporating artwork and references linked to legendary figures Jamie Reid and Judy Blame. A live soundscape conceived by Villa Lontana and performed by Michele Ferrari provided the backdrop to the presentation.
Collaboration remained at the heart of the collection. George Cox introduced updated versions of its iconic Creeper with button detailing, while OTW by Vans unveiled reworked Slip-Ons and Old Skools featuring woven leather, patchwork finishes and Jamie Reid graphics. New York label Pretty Relics contributed a series of vintage T-shirts celebrating Dover Street Market’s global communities, and Schott NYC revisited its heritage Perfecto leather jacket through a punk-inflected lens. Artistic contributions from Jamie Reid, courtesy of John Marchant Gallery, and the Judy Blame Charitable Trust further reinforced the collection’s homage to two of punk’s most influential creative voices, underscoring DSM Kei Ninomiya’s vision of fashion as a platform for experimentation and cultural exchange.
