Dr. Martens and BEAMS are back together! The two brands have teamed up for the first time in six years to mark BEAMS’ 50th anniversary and the reopening of its Harajuku store.

The collaboration centers on the Lowell Wearever shoe from the Dr. Martens archive. It is a moc-toe silhouette with a workwear history. BEAMS has applied its signature “Crazy Pattern” approach, meaning no two shoes are exactly alike.

The upper is built from five different materials. High-gloss patent leather sits next to soft Bronx suede. Smooth Orleans leather meets crocodile-embossed Atlas leather. These textures are distributed asymmetrically between the left and right shoe. One foot gets a different mix than the other. The result is mismatched but monochromatic, all in black. The shoe sits on Dr. Martens’ robust yet flexible sole. Black-on-black welt stitching keeps the look clean.
