For Spring/Summer 2027, Masayuki Ino continued Doublet‘s fascination with finding wonder in the everyday. Titled A Day in the Life, the collection imagined a future where groundbreaking materials are no longer futuristic novelties but simply part of daily routine, proposing a world where innovation quietly dissolves into ordinary life, where clothing made from recycled carbon, wood, plants, marine resources, or agricultural waste sits alongside today’s cotton and nylon.

Doublet’s unmistakable sense of humor and playful deconstruction saw conjoined T-shirts and tailoring marked with lipstick stains to accessories shaped like aluminum drink cans and takeaway cups suspended from chunky chain links. Prints transformed mundane objects into graphic statements, featuring cameras, chains, handbags and even G-strings, while what appeared to be oversized garment care labels nodded to the overlooked details of everyday dressing. Elsewhere, shoes were given jaws along with puma references for an offbeat twist. Doublet isn’t afraid to embrace the strange comfort that has become synonymous with the Japanese label.
