For his Summer 2027 menswear collection at Dior, Jonathan Anderson continued to define what a new Dior is. Staged at Paris’ Musée Nissim de Camondo, despite temperatures nearing 40 degrees and the show brought forward to the morning, guests included Louis Garrel, BTS star Jimin, Pharrell Williams, LaKeith Stanfield, Mike Faist, Drew Starkey and James Marsden.

The bespoke soundtrack by Fred echoed the collection’s central premise of sampling and remixing. Built from samples, remixes and layered vocals from artists including KTNA, Mabe Fratti, Jamie T and Christine and the Queens. In the press notes, Dior described the process as one of transforming the familiar through subtle shifts in perspective. Anderson applied that philosophy across tailoring, sportswear and accessories, blurring distinctions between eras and dress codes. Tuxedos arrived with looser proportions, classic houndstooth was rendered as a print rather than a woven fabric, while polka dots emerged through continuous fields of sequins. Elsewhere, embroidered silk scarves reproduced motifs from Dior Haute Couture circa 1979, creating a dialogue between the house’s archives and the present day.

This idea of replication and reinvention extended into footwear and accessories. Nineteenth-century embroidery was painstakingly recreated on suede lace-up shoes, woven blankets were transformed into bags, and Dior’s cannage motif appeared on soft denim totes.

If Anderson’s acclaimed debut for Dior in 2025 focused on “recoding” the house’s heritage then SS27 felt more of the unexpected with nods to youth culture and spontaneity of dressing up. Some pairings even felt almost accidentally As Anderson continues to shape Dior in his image, these contradictions are becoming a defining signature.

The show took place during Paris Fashion Week. Check it out below:
