Courrèges has appointed Drew Henry as its new Artistic Director, effective May 2026. He will present his debut runway collection during Paris Fashion Week in September.

Henry, 38, is a South African-born designer from Mpumalanga. He studied pattern cutting and garment construction at LISOF in Johannesburg before moving to London for Central Saint Martins, where he graduated from the MA Fashion programme in 2014 under Louise Wilson. His career includes time at Céline during Phoebe Philo’s creative era, followed by a role as Design Director for ready-to-wear at JW Anderson. In 2020, he reunited with Philo for the launch of her eponymous brand, serving as Head of Design. Most recently, he was Senior Design Director at Burberry under Daniel Lee.

Henry commented: “André Courrèges believed in clothes that make sense for how people live. That matters to me. I have always been drawn to work that feels modern, useful and direct. Joining this iconic French House, I feel a strong responsibility to honour its history while bringing my own perspective. I am grateful to François-Henri Pinault and Marie Leblanc for their trust, and I am excited to shape a vision for the House that is optimistic, clear and grounded.

The appointment follows a period of strong momentum for Courrèges and marks a new chapter for the house.
