Since 1998, the Picto Foundation has organized each year the Picto prize for fashion photography and has become a reference distinction for emerging talents. Discovering some of the most talented photographers of our generation, from Louis Decamps to Charlotte Abramow, the Picto prize aims to introduce new talents and offers the winners support for their careers.

For the 2022 edition, the winner is Christopher Barraja, 25, who came from the South of France. This award includes a Leica camera, the manufacture of an exhibition to the value of 2000€, a JCDecaux poster campaign in Paris and the possibility of integrating the public collections of the Palais Galliera, Musée de la mode de la Ville de Paris. To be noted that Christophe Barraja was among the finalists for the 2020 Hyères Festival edition.

The second prize supported by le19M is given to a photographer who will collaborate with one of the resident houses of le19M, a new site conceived and designed by CHANEL, dedicated to the fashion crafts in Paris-Aubervilliers. The third prize, Dotation Filippo Roversi, underlines the originality of technical know-how and offers its winner the possibility of a workshop with the photographer Paolo Roversi and production assistance from Picto.

Palais Galliera, Musée de la Mode de la Ville de Paris, offers the winners the opportunity to join its collection. In 2021, Photo Festival St Barth Art Week joined the Picto prize for fashion photography, inviting one of the three winners to exhibit alongside great photographers and to benefit from an artist residency in St Barth.
