Icons are defined by their ability to withstand the test of time. They endure, not only physically, but also culturally. They live on in collective memory, transcending geographies and generations.

Carhartt WIP Icons have remained true to their utilitarian origins of decades past. Over the years, these garments may fade and wear. Eventually, they are replaced by new versions in new colors and fabrics. But their form remains solid. The details are instantly recognizable and unaltered.

The Michigan Coat retains its signature four-pocket configuration. The Detroit Jacket continues with its waist length, full-zip front, and zippered chest pocket. The Double Knee Pant keeps its distinctive double-layered knees, tool pockets, and hammer loop.

For Spring/Summer 2026, these iconic styles are presented in new shades of dusty turquoise, green, and mauve, contrasted with the timeless classics: Hamilton Brown, black, and navy.

But Icon styles also inspire new adaptations. They are a starting point for exploration and evolution. The Maeve skirt nods to the Double Knee Pant through its panels and metal studs. The Clapton jacket takes inspiration from the Michigan Coat and is updated in nylon canvas with an additional sleeve pocket. The Clark jacket offers a subtly oversized take on the Detroit Jacket, fusing its structured workwear origins with how it is worn today.
