Burberry has released a new capsule collection created with the Royal Collection Trust, the department of the Royal Household that looks after the official art collection. The four designs arrive in March 2026 and mark the centenary of Queen Elizabeth II’s birth.

The late Queen had a long relationship with the brand. She wore Burberry throughout her reign and granted it a Royal Warrant in 1955. She often chose the label for outdoor activities, which fits with Burberry’s history of making things that handle unpredictable weather. The capsule draws from her wardrobe, expressed through outerwear and cashmere woven in Scotland.

The collection launches ahead of an exhibition opening in April at The King’s Gallery, Buckingham Palace. It will be the largest show dedicated to Queen Elizabeth II’s fashion and will include Burberry pieces she actually wore.

The hero piece is a belted car coat, a style the Queen favored. It is made in Castleford, Yorkshire, from lightweight cotton gabardine in holly green. The yarns are woven with contrasting threads that create an iridescent effect. The main material is certified organic cotton and the lining is organic silk.

A new version of the Burberry House Check appears exclusively for this capsule. It comes in a holly green palette inspired by the Old Stewart Tartan, a pattern the Queen wore. The check shows up on the car coat’s silk lining, on a cashmere scarf woven in Scotland, and on the border of a silk twill scarf printed with a hand-painted illustration of Balmoral Castle.

On the accessories side, there is a gold-plated brooch shaped like a corgi. The dog wears an enameled plaid coat and carries the Burberry Knight motif on a freshwater pearl.

The collection is available now at Burberry.com and in select stores worldwide. It will also be sold at Royal Collection Trust locations in Edinburgh, London and Windsor, and online at RoyalCollectionShop.co.uk.
