Milan has rarely looked so quietly strange. For Winter 2026, Bottega Veneta turns to Juergen Teller for a campaign that moves through the city’s contrasting landscapes, from intimate interiors and monumental architecture to open-air sculptures and stretches of natural terrain. Conceived as an artistic project, the images find a particular beauty in the tension between the built and the organic, the severe and the sensual.

At the centre of the campaign is Milan itself, although not the polished version usually offered by fashion imagery. Teller moves through locations including Villa Terenzio Belloli and Fondazione Pagani, allowing the city to reveal its less obvious character. Brutalist structures sit alongside softer, more intimate spaces, while sculpture and landscape become part of the visual language. The effect is unmistakably Milanese, but far removed from the predictable codes of the city.

Louise Trotter’s vision for Bottega Veneta finds a natural counterpart in this approach. Since taking the creative direction of the house, her work has placed craft and creativity in close proximity, and the campaign extends that idea beyond the clothes themselves. Here, architecture, art and landscape become active elements rather than simple backdrops, creating a setting in which different textures, forms and moods can coexist.

Juergen Teller’s presence is equally important. Known for a photographic language that often finds beauty in the unexpected, Teller gives the campaign an immediacy that prevents its carefully chosen locations from becoming overly picturesque. His images move between closeness and distance, allowing moments of intimacy to sit comfortably alongside the scale of Milan’s architecture and public art.

Perhaps the most compelling aspect of Bottega Veneta’s Winter 2026 campaign is precisely this refusal to settle on one definition of Milan. Villa Terenzio Belloli, Fondazione Pagani, brutalist forms, open-air sculpture and natural landscapes become fragments of the same portrait, revealing a city of contradictions and subtle beauty. Under Trotter’s direction and through Teller’s lens, Bottega Veneta finds in Milan something more interesting than a setting: a place where craft, creativity and a certain unexpected softness can exist side by side.
