Bershka Opens Its Most Iconic Store in A Coruña
by Fucking Young!

Bershka has opened the doors to its most emblematic store in Plaza de Lugo, A Coruña. The completely renovated space spans 710 square metres across two floors, featuring a new design concept created exclusively for this location. The concept is built around a unique furniture system that uses repeated modules to organise the space with flexibility and coherence. Designed with an industrial and modular approach, the system allows for different configurations without losing its identity, becoming the common thread throughout the store.

The arrangement of the modules divides the space into distinct areas while maintaining a fluid flow. The furniture acts as more than a functional element, structuring the store and giving personality to the whole. The result transforms the typical shopping centre experience into something more intimate, fostering a natural relationship between customer and product that invites exploration.
Materials play a fundamental role. Each space carries its own identity through finishes that guide the customer’s path, shifting between warm, domestic-inspired materials and those with a more industrial character. A new concrete finish was developed specifically for this project, inspired by modern architecture but reinterpreted with a more refined touch. Its surfaces are finished with rounded edges, making the material feel more welcoming.

The staircase is another key element, accompanied by a continuous plane of translucent acrylic that diffuses light and turns the connection between floors into a visual focal point, guiding movement down to the lower level. With this new space, Bershka reaffirms its vision of commercial architecture as a tool for building identity and creating a closer connection between the brand and its customers. The store is now open!
