Balenciaga‘s Summer 2027 collection, designed by Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli, explores couture as both a working methodology and an ideology, a mindset for modern creation that can infiltrate the culture of a fashion house. Techniques originating in the 55th Balenciaga Couture Collection are applied across a spectrum of ready-to-wear, bringing a trace of humanity to every garment.

At the centre of the scenography sits Les Coraux de la Liberté (2025) by French artist Aude Franjou, a work realised through wrapped linen that gives the collection its title and proposes an analogy of a couture house as a living ecosystem. The show took place during Paris Fashion Week.
