AVNIER and Saint James have released the second chapter of their collaboration, INTERVALLE, following a first drop that connected Norman heritage with Japanese imagination. This time the inspiration comes from the kite, an object that bridges sea and sky, tradition and image.

Where the first drop established the foundations with raw wool and the clean lines drawn from 80s and 90s visual culture, the second chapter explores air and movement. The kite serves as a poetic ancestor to the drone, an object born of wind and coastline that naturally links the maritime DNA of Saint James, built over 137 years of Norman craftsmanship, with AVNIER’s audiovisual and technological culture. It rises from the sea to capture movement, and that metaphor shapes the entire collection.

Three pieces make up the capsule, each named according to the code established in the first drop, combining French and Japanese city names. The KYODEAU, a waterproof zip-up poncho with a large front pocket, takes a loose triangular silhouette inspired by a kite sail. Lightweight and functional, it is designed for the seaside and anchors the drop. The HOUSAKA SHORT follows the Japanese-inspired cut of the first drop’s Housaka pants in 100% cotton, built for movement outdoors. The VILLEROKI is an oversized T-shirt with an elasticated hem and generous volume, carrying the signature AVNIER style with a light touch.
