Paris Fashion Week is rarely short of events competing for attention, but ASICS SportStyle and Little Tokyo Table Tennis are taking a slightly different approach. Instead of another showroom or product presentation, the two are opening the doors to a three-day ping pong club in the heart of Le Marais.

Running from 25 to 27 June at Ellia Art Gallery, the project marks the first collaboration between ASICS and the Los Angeles-based collective, centred around a rework of the GEL-RESOLUTION™ 5. Originally designed as a performance tennis shoe, the silhouette has been reinterpreted through LTTT’s lens, bringing together ASICS’ sporting heritage and the relaxed, community-driven energy that has defined the collective since its early days.

Founded in 2021, Little Tokyo Table Tennis started as a casual weekly gathering in Los Angeles. Since then, it has grown into something much bigger, attracting a diverse mix of creatives, athletes, locals and curious newcomers, all brought together by a shared love of the game. Their appeal has never really been about competition. It is the atmosphere that keeps people coming back.

Across the three-day takeover, Ellia Art Gallery will function less like an exhibition space and more like an open club. Visitors can play, watch matches, and spend time in an environment built around a simple idea: people coming together through play. No dress code, no prior experience required. The programme takes cues from the spontaneous nature of LTTT’s regular meet-ups, where things are allowed to unfold naturally.

Both sides arrive in Paris with a similar mindset. ASICS continues to build on its long-standing philosophy around movement and wellbeing, while LTTT has spent the past few years showing how sport can create genuine connection without overcomplicating it.

In a week dominated by schedules, presentations, and endless queues, a game of table tennis might be exactly what Paris needs.
