Ann Demeulemeester has opened a new store in Milan. It sits at Via Monte Napoleone 22, in the heart of the city’s shopping district. The space was once a refectory. Now it is the brand’s second mono-brand store in the world, following the original in Antwerp.

The boutique reflects the direction set by creative director Stefano Gallici. It is meant to be moved through and discovered. Time, silence, and materials build the experience. The opening comes with an exclusive preview of the Spring/Summer 2026 collection, Gallici’s latest work.

The space spans 214 square meters across two levels. Two large rooms connect by a staircase. Upstairs, there is a VIP room. Walls were stripped back to their original state and left bare. Natural tones show through. The floor is black Italian herringbone wood. The ceiling mirrors the floor’s geometry in both rooms, creating a visual rhythm. The color palette stays in black, white, and shades of gray. Main materials include wood, oxidized zinc, and raw plaster. Large white canvases appear throughout, serving as a quiet backdrop for the clothes.

Furnishings were made custom. They reference historical shapes but adjust proportions for now. Solids and voids play against each other. Black linen sofas with corded fringes add softness. Curtains do the same. The space feels intimate and quiet.
