Achilles Ion Gabriel Leaves Camper

Achilles Ion Gabriel is leaving Camper. The company has announced he will step down as Creative Director for both the main Camper brand and its experimental line, CAMPERLAB.
His final work will be the Spring/Summer 2027 collections, to be presented in December of 2026. After that, the creative direction will be handled by the brand’s in-house team.
Achilles was vital in defining a more artistic and edgy side of Camper. His designs brought a distinct, forward-thinking energy that reshaped the brand’s image. We will miss his particular vision and creations. He joined in 2019 as Creative Director of CAMPERLAB. He expanded the line’s focus beyond shoes. The following year, his role was extended to include the main Camper brand as well.
In his own statement, the designer thanked the company for its trust, and expressed gratitude to the press and to customers. His departure marks the end of a six-year chapter. We cannot wait to see what he will do next.
