Since 1994, Oakley Jackets have operated outside the usual rules. They started as a rebellion against how sport performance eyewear was supposed to look, introducing a high-wrap, twin-lens frame that shattered expectations. Built for athletes who challenged the status quo, the Jackets became more than performance tools.

Now, more than three decades later, a new chapter begins. The Jackets join Oakley’s Artifacts from the Future, inventions wrapped in art, designed for tomorrow and delivered today. They push beyond performance without losing their original DNA.
The philosophy behind them is simple: eyewear should fit the face the way apparel fits the body. That idea comes full circle with Oakley’s Japan Field Gear Line Collection, gear engineered to protect from the elements, as bold and uncompromising as the frames themselves.
The new Jackets draw from the frames that started it all: Eye Jacket 1994, Straight Jacket 1999, Racing Jacket 1998, Water Jacket 2000, Flak Jacket 2007. Each new member carries that legacy forward in its own way.
Plantaris SQ transforms the original into a squared iteration. Neoforma channels kinetic roots and forward flow. Terraforma delivers impact with a universal silhouette and futuristic edge. Neoture and Neomata offer prescription frames that blend nostalgia with forward design. Eye Jacket Redux, reintroduced in 2019, honors heritage with a re-engineered outlook. Suture Jacket, arriving in April, sharpens the concept into more aggressive territory, built like armor and designed for performance.
Every Jacket finds its match in the Field Gear Line Collection, designed in Japan and distributed globally. Plantaris SQ and Neomata pair with the newly released FGL Stealth Line capsule, which includes a jacket, tee and pant. The Stealth Line is engineered with invisible functionality, blending into external environments so missions can be executed without detection. Design minimalism meets maximum material performance.
The FGL AP Vest pairs with Eye Jacket Redux, built for the outdoors and purpose-built to protect gear in harsh conditions. Neoforma and Neoture work alongside FGL Slick Crew and FGL Factor Shorts, breathable apparel engineered to reduce temperatures when things heat up.
